16-Nov-2001 -- Our group of German amateur astronomers (Hartwig Luethen, Daniel Fischer,
Bernd Heinrich, Sirko Molau, Mirko Nitschke, Petra Rendtel,
Andy Sischka, Mathias Straube, Jörg Strunk) was visiting
Korea in order to observe the Leonid meteor storm of
November 18/19 2001 and to see some highlights of this
beautiful country. Travelling on the road No. 28
(Angang-Yongchon) we noticed, that there was a unvisited
confluence point nearby (about 1 km).
Two days later we
started an approach to visit the confluence point at a
crossroad at E 129°00'07".5, N 35°59'29".2'. There was a
path through a small village. Later, we climbed a woody
hill and bypassed a military installation. After descending
the hill slope on the other side we reached a small lake
and a driveway. This led us conveniently to a farm building
in the correct direction. There was nobody on the farm
except some dogs. We crossed the farm area and found the
confluence point on the terrain of a vineyard.
