Following 36°N 109°E, this is the third of five CP visits during my stay in China.
After the succesful visit this morning we were in a good mood and were heading on the G22 to the next CP near Wazije Xiang.
First we had some lunch (scrambled eggs) and then started to find a good place to park the car and walk to the CP. The CP is situated on a mountain. We parked the car 2 km from the CP after 2 km driving on a sand path.
There was a small path which brought us in the middle of a forrest. Yan Lie went with me. After a while the path did not continue and we had to make our own path. It began to rain, sometimes I lost GPS signals.
I decided to go back and have a second attempt on the otherside of the mountain. Looking back, that was not a good decision. On the other side of the mountain we got also 1 km from the CP but the mountain there is more difficult to climb. The road became muddy and the car almost could not move anymore. Due to a lack of good preparation we could not make this visit succesful.
In Hukou (near the waterfall) we stayed in a good hotel. First we had to pump up the front left tyre of the car, which was almost flat.
