30-Mar-2008 -- To visit confluence points 35N 58E and 35N 59E and to visit the salt lake of Sa`d od Dīn, we departed Mašhad on 29 March 2008. The group consisted of my wife (Niloofar), my daughter (Negar), and I (Sirous). Our vehicle was a 4WD Nissan Roniz.

The pathway was: Mašhad > Kāšmar > Khalīlābād > Sa`d od Dīn > Ja`farābād. In Sa`d od Dīn, we invited a local person as a guide (Mr. Behnam Daliri). After Ja`farābād, we entered a graveled road southwest, which extends to the west bank of the salt lake.

At a point marked as 011 in the map, we exited the road and went off-road for 1.8 kilometers. We stopped the car at point 010. The guide, my daughter, and I walked another 470 meters toward the confluence point. To the NW of the Confluence, there is a mountain named "Do Šākh".

When we came back to the graveled road, we continued our way toward the salt lake. Now in the spring, this seasonal shallow lake has some water. In the summer, the lake is dried out and local people extract very pure salt from the lake.

We came back to Kāšmar and continued our way to visit the confluence point 35N 59E. Altogether, this was a rather easy confluence point to visit.
