#1: View to the North...

(visited by Ron Reijnders, Danny van den Branden and Arthur van de Velde)

24-Mar-2004 -- Whilst travelling in a group, we visited the point during lunch-break. We left the group that halted near a well about 2.7 kilometres southeast. It took about 20 minutes to get to the confluence point.

It's a barren area. I took pictures in the four directions (N, E, S and W), starting to the North. The picture with our cars is to the South. My GPS (Geko 301) has WAAS capability and indicated that WAAS was active. Sadly enough I have no picture of the page displaying this.

This was virtually the only day during our 8 days' stay in the Sahara when the sun was shining. We had pouring rain almost every day, encountered some flooded areas and had several gales. These conditions prevented me from visiting the two other points (33N 10E and 34N 10E) I intended to visit on our trip.
