27-Mar-2006 -- The story continues from 30N 57E.

From 17 to 30 March 2006 my family and I traveled around and through the deserts of Iran.

When we were traveling from Kermān to Yazd, we were planning to visit this point. According to maps, we should reach to Šemš and enter to a secondary road toward Dehaj and Šahr-e Bābak. There was the road, but I didn't notice the signs of a village or something like Šemš. Anyway, we entered the asphalted road. After 8.5 km we stopped the car. My wife stayed in the car with kids and I walked toward the point for 2200 m. At first I thought the point might be on the mountains, but fortunately, it did not reach the mountains. It was on a flat land near the hills. I visited a shepherd and he said that I could drive very close to the point via a minor rural road used by shepherds.

As I mentioned before, this point had been visited by Rainer Mautz on 4 September 2004. My observations were exactly the same without any interval change. Even he reports that he visited a shepherd! I am pretty sure that shepherd was not the same I visited, as he didn't say "Oh my god, a few years ago somebody else was doing exactly the same thing you are doing...!".
