We take advantage of a trip through eastern India to visit a number of confluence points in this region.

We arrive in Dhubri in the late afternoon and rent a room for two nights.

We register at the police station - without informing them that we want to go to the island. We experience a wonderful evening at the Bramaputra.

Our Indian helpers organize a boat in the morning, we have to rent our own boat and take the boatman as a local guide for the island.

The trip takes about 20 minutes and then we walk on dirt roads directly to the confluence point, where a large bull is currently pegged. The owner is nearby and ready to move the animal a few meters for us.

After successfully finding the zeros we walk to the market place of Birshing, the town on the island – with an ever growing group of people behind us.

As we are happy to see how the life on the island takes place, these people enjoy our behavior.

With this confluence point this part of the journey is finished.
