#1: Confluence site, in the middle of a corn field

(visited by Carlos Alvarez, Juan Pablo Martínez and Jorge Carreón)

16-Mar-2003 -- This confluence is the easiest to found.

We started our journey at the intersection of the Reynosa (97) and Matamoros (180) highways, near San Fernando.

From there we took the 180 Highway towards Cd. Victoria, further we took the "old highway" to Pancho Villa and at the 196 km mark we turn left (towards east), it was an upaved, but in good condition road.

This road took us to a corn fields where we drove staright forward about 8.2km, at this point we turn right (south) and drove for 700m more.

Our GPS read that the confluence was due west about 300m. We left the cars (2 monzas) and cross an irrigation channel and enter a recently planted corn field, were we walked the 300m.

We had to deviate a few meters, following the GPS readings, but it was a 10 minutes walk.

This time I went with Juan Pablo Martínez, Director of Internet for the State Government, and Jorge Carreón Palomo, a friend who works with us.
