25-Mar-2004 -- We're four Italians supported by Khalifa Expedition. We reached the site on the way to Gilf Kabīr. We left Baḥariyya two days before, left the tarmac seventy km south of Dākhila, and after hundreds of kilometres of hard and soft sand driving, frequent stacking and much glare to cope with, we were able to say: "Here we are!"
