(visited by Antik Shah and Sourabh Porwal)

28-Jan-2017 -- My friend Sourabh and I decided on a road trip to Aurangābād and Parbhani to visit the Jyotirlings at Grishneshwar, Nagnath and Vaijyanath from 26 to 29 January. We planned the itinerary and found DCP 19N 77E to be in close range and decided on the DCP visit as well.

In the morning of 28 January after breakfast we left Parbhani and started to travel toward Gangakhed. The roads here are in bad shape, so it took as close to 70 minutes to cover approximate 45 km.

From Gangakhed we turned east toward Nānded. The DCP is in the taluka (district) of Pālam. We reached Pālam and continued further for 4 km at Yash Dhaba (19°00'39.1"N 76°59'32.4"E) and parked our car there. There onward we began to journey on foot through the walkways between fields of cotton, millet, and pigeon pea. There is drip irrigation in the fields here. After walking for approximately 2.5 km in southeast direction, we reached the DCP 19°N 77°E. The elevation here is 390 m.

On the way back we met a farmer who informed us that we were in the village of Peth Shivani in Pālam taluka. He was surprised to see two city folk strolling in the middle of farm fields. We made our way back to Yash Dhaba, had a spicy brunch, and then set forth towards Pārli.
