#1: Bonaire's central part seen from the Confluence

(visited by Captain Peter)

19-Oct-2010 -- En route from Southern Brazil to Colombia with 30,000 tons of maize, today we first passed the chain of the several coral reefs, cays, and rocks of the outlaying islands of Venezuela, namely (from E to W):

Once having passed this chain of islets, we headed WNW toward 68N 12W, from where we can see the Island of Bonaire.

As the southern part of Bonaire is low and sandy, we cannot see it from the Confluence although it is closest. Looking toward West we see the peaks of the volcanic hills of the central part of Bonaire, and toward WNW we see the northern part of the island.

Coming closer, we had a look onto Lacre Punt, the southernmost tip of Bonaire.
