02-Nov-2018 -- Passing Rojas, about 3 hours from the city of Buenos Aires, we continue traveling along Route 31. Soon after, we made a small stop to visit the town (and the train station) Carabelas, very quiet.

Leaving Carabelas, we also leave Route 31 and the pavement to make about 20 km of a dirt road, a road in no so good condition and with patches of mud from the recent rains. A few meters from the Rojas River, where some fishermen were hanging out, we stopped the car. The sky looked threatening, and the humidity breathed through the pores.

This confluence could be called "muddy feet". Already to access the field where it was necessary to cross, shoes and socks in hand, a ditch with water at the ankles. Then they were about 700 meters by a partially flooded field, and partly following the left bank of the Rojas River, trying not to bother the many cows that grazed there. Thus I reached the point where the river joins a stream, which you have to wade to reach the confluence. The wading was easy, but my step-by-step feet sank into mud, very clayey and sticky. Then I decided to cover the last 100 meters directly barefoot, to take off the mud a little. I did not get to zero the GPS, I decided to stop at 60 meters (I did not want to get too close to the cattle).

I returned to the car fording the stream, walking the pasture fields, and avoiding the ditch. I took a few minutes to remove the mud from my legs, and when I finally started the car the first drops began to fall. We hurried to reach Route 8 (almost to the city of Colon) accompanied by a heavy drizzle, before the roads became even more difficult than they were.
