A CONFLUENCE AND OLD RAILWAY STATIONS

At risk of boring you, as you had seen in other previous cases, to have near a confluence and not visiting it is something impossible for me.

Another afternoon at Córdoba, after working and with two hours of daylight left, led me to visit this confluence and to investigate the present of some old railways stations

Highway 09 and NR 158 led me to the small town of “La Playosa” at 10 kilometers of the confluence.

Then, enjoying quiet non paved paths, I was approaching, zigzagging, to the confluence driving among lands seeded with corn and soya.

The final approaching took me at dusk at 200 meters of the objective, separated by a trench and a wire fence. The confluence laid on a land that was recently seeded with soya.

I walked among the small plants, taking care of not damaging them and, without problems, I got the zeros in the minutes and seconds of GPS display

A beautiful sunset crowned the moment and I returned quickly to the car to take advantage of the last rays of daylight.

I drove by a path that led me to “Pozo del Molle”, one of a lot of small lovely towns founded aside of the railways stations out of order since a long time ago.

Luckily, due to the agricultural activities, in this area, the towns have survived with enough dignity and in the three places that I had been, the old railway stations are well cared and used for some social purposes (museums, public libraries, firemen headquarters, etc.)

I could visit the stations of Pozo del Molle, La Playosa and Arroyo Algodón before the darkness canceled the possibility of taking pictures.

Then, I returned for the same roads and very late, I arrived to my hotel at Córdoba city.

I realized that I didn’t have had dinner…..
