#1: Looking East.

(visited by Joao Carlos Teixeira, Eurídice Teixeira, Roberto Trevisan and Rozani Teixeira)

03-Feb-2004 -- The success of our last visit to the point 30ºS 54ºW impelled us to visit this one that is 164 km away from my mother’s house.

The BR-392 highway, that binds Saint Maria to Pelotas, passes 5 km away from the confluence. We took an unpaved road to Chapadão passing 740 meters close to the point. The landowner told us to keep on going because the road skirts the hill and passes about 140 meters from our target. Bingo!

We arrive at the point by the neighbor land due to many unfriendly bulls that grazed next to the point. When the animals had moved away we enter Mr. Claudio Rosas’ land to make the photos, with an eye in the GPS and another one in the bulls.
