#1: The confluence looking west

(visited by David Olsen)

17-Apr-2004 -- We had planned a long outback trip (5 weeks) and noted a couple of confluences we wanted to visit, but when the trip was underway I forgot all about these plans until we decided quite by accident to detour from the Strzelecki track, because we found it to be a boring dirt highway, and not what we wanted to see.

Instead, we followed a gas pipeline road through the desert, and only when we stopped for lunch did I realise the confluence was less than 3 kilometres away. We initially drove the Range Rover off the track across country but the risk of staking a tyre made me walk the last 800 metres.
