08-Oct-2002 -- After finishing the Canning Stock Route, we headed towards Perth. Naturally, I chose a route with a few confluences.
This particular confluence is just off the Leinster to Sandstone road. The track is being rebuilt and upgraded from dirt to sealed and this particular section was still dirt. I drove across the soon-to-be-sealed highway and parked behind a large dirt pile. The confluence was 2.31 kms away so I decided to try a new way of getting there and back quickly - Confluence Jogging (tm). I made it there and back in less than an hour, suprising Karin who expected it to take much longer. It turns out that jogging in spinifex is great ski training since you have to jump up and over and dodge a lot to avoid getting spiked by the sharp spinifex.
