06-Jul-2012 -- We left from Salvador Friday, July 06 day at 11 in the morning with the goal of conquering the confluence 11S40W. After go 110 miles by BR324 made the first stop for supply of bikes in Feira de Santana.

Continue on BR324 for over 164 km and stopped again to supply a road located in the municipality of Capim Grosso. After passing by the monument that stands at the entrance to the municipality of Capim Grosso, followed by the BA407 road for a further 34 km in direction of the municipality of Ponto Novo.

Before we reach the seat of the municipality of Ponto Novo, we stopped at a village that lies on the edge of the road BA407 to request information. At this point, we realized that it would be the end of paved roads.

The desire to reach the confluence was great and not think twice to cope with the dust and the holes in the road. Followed the guidance of GPS, we have more clay roads 13 km until we reach the farm Caçador, owned by Mr Osvaldino.

From the farm house, we follow in our bikes for over 3 km by narrow paths toward greater farm Hill region, until we reached a small water tank that was being built. We stopped the bikes and, amid the cattle that were grazing, started the search for the exact location of the confluence of the 11S40W to make the photographic record of this conquest.

This is an easy-to-reach and Confluence can be visited by travelers who pass through BA407 toward Senhor do Bonfim or toward Capim Grosso. There is no need for additional equipment or 4 x 4 cars as machetes, ropes, etc., but it is prudent to go with higher suspension cars.

After the conquest of the confluence, rode in our bikes and we were celebrating our made in Senhor do Bonfim, tasting a delicious grilled goat, greater delicacy of the region.
