07-Aug-2004 -- Confluence 29 78 is quite close to Delhi as far as map is concerned. We started at 8:30 in morning in hope to do two confluence points in a day. 29 78 is about 35 kms away from Meerut, a town within 60 kms of Delhi. Reaching meerut was a metter of 1 hour after we left delhi. Next nearby big townlet was parrichhitgarh, whcih was there on the map but it wasn't that easy to reach :-)

Lots of detours, dirt tacks and finally we made it to Parichhitgarh, from ther2 29 78 was hardly 10 kms away.

As usual, when we asked local people there as where that road goes, they would ask us where we wanted to go? Confluence hunters never have any answer to that, we simply said we dont know where we want to go but tell us where that road would take us :-)

We reached 29 78 after few more detours and going through the farm fields and villages. The point is in the middle of a sugarcane field in the village Agwanpur.Finding the exact CP was quite an aerobic exersice as there was no place to move around in the sugercan field. But we finally manged to zero in on the 29 78. Had a talk with a local there and as usuall explained him what we were doing as he was quite surprised as what these 8 people are doing in the sugercane field.
