024-Apr-2023 -- We are almost at the end of a journey through India. Our last visit to a confluence point was 26°N 90°E.

We decided to visit this confluence point because at noon it is almost unbearable in the city because of the heat.

In the hotel we discuss with the owner and on the computer with Google Map the possibilities of a visit. He arranges an air-conditioned car with driver for us.

First our progress was extremely slow because of the city traffic. Later, we drive on a large, well-built road further and further north. At some point we drive over a mound of earth, which marks the end of the developed road, and then after a few km we return to the old long-distance road on a very small road.

We continue on this road until we reach the turnoff to the west on road 34. Then we navigate with the GPS to the turnoff to the settlement with the confluence point. At the destination, the dirt road ends in front of three simple houses about 100 meters from the confluence point.

Our driver talks to the inhabitants of the next house, but they don't speak English and we go to collect the zeros. In the meantime younger people have arrived and an interesting getting to know each other begins which culminates with an invitation to a sugar cane drink in one of the houses.

All in all we were on the road for about five hours and it was a pleasant change to stay in the very interesting city on the Ganges, which is visited by many people.

We still used the waiting time for our return flight in Delhi to visit: 28°N 77°E
