01-Sep-2007 -- After quite cold and rainy weather for the end of august, we descided to go on a cabin trip for the week-end, namely to Mortenskåten, a cabin belonging to the sports club of NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology), situated south east of Trondheim.
Since we started our trip at the small train station of Langlete, confluence 63°N 11°E was almost on our way to the cabin. After getting two brand new GPS receivers from US just a few days ago, the visit of the confluence was a nice start to play around with our new toys.
We followed the path from Langlete towards the farm Dragåsvollen and continued to the confluence through the nice and open landscape. As a consequence
of the cold weather the last days, we could see the first snow of the coming winter on several mountain tops in the region and the colours of the surroundings had already started to get slightly brown.
For Friederike, the visit was her first confluence and actually her first trip with own GPS. The confluence itself was accurate as Daniel remembered it from the trip two years ago, just the cloudberries were missing! It is actually a bad year for cloudberries, so we continued to the cabin Mortenskåten after a short stop and some pictures at the confluence.
