25-Aug-2007 -- It was a bright day, though slightly overcast. The site is the entrance and very corner of a field of Canola. The nearby residence is not part of the farm on which the site was located, but I asked permission to park in the yard while I walked to the site. I met the man who used to own the farm. He was camping in a trailer about seventy feet from the site in a clump of trees. His daughter owned the house where I had permission to park.
Because the site is the very corner of the field, there is no damage to the canola from the occasional visitor. As you can see the site lends itself to excellent skyscapes. The usual clear blue Alberta sky does have the rare raincloud.
