22-Feb-2002 -- The day after our struggle to reach the 24N 51E confluence point, we are on our way to Šayba, this "self-sufficient artificial city" built by the Saudi Petroleum Company, Aramco, in the north of the largest sand desert in the world: the Rub` al-Khāliy. On our way, we will reach the 23N 52E confluence point.

Very easy ride, just about 3 km north of the tarmac road built by Aramco in the middle of the desert, we find the confluence point on a plain surrounded by white sand dunes.

We are going to settle for lunch, because we are starving! It's 1:15 pm. After we took some shots of the area and had lunch, it was quite late. We then decide to stay here and relax until tomorrow.
