(visited by Ross Finlayson)

16-May-2015 -- This ‘Forgotten Confluence Point’ - last visited (for the only time) in July 2001 - was much easier to visit than I’d feared. From satellite imagery (plus the report from the previous visitor), I knew that a forest road passed near the point. However, I wasn’t sure how accessible this road would be, and how easy the access roads that led up to it would be.

To my surprise, I found that the major access road - Antoine Creek Road - was smooth and easily drivable (and paved for much of the way). From Antoine Creek Road, I took the forest road starting at 47.98926°N 120.01037°W - about 0.9 miles (as the crow flies) from the point. The forest road - which winds clockwise along a ridge top - was easily drivable in my 4WD SUV. It passes just 400 feet north of the point, leaving an easy hike through the forest.

As I reached the confluence point, another pleasant surprise: The point lies not within boring forest, but instead in a clearing, with good views. (Unfortunately my photos - taken in the late afternoon sun - do not do justice to the scenery.)
