(visited by Wolfgang Broeg)

24-Sep-2019 -- The Padauiri River is an affluent from the Rio negro, who joins the Amazon River near to Manaus, the capital of brazilien state Amazonas. The small town Barcelos is about 400 km northwest of Manaus. We were traveling from Barcelos with small motorboat on the Rio Negro and later on Rio Padauari, who reaches upriver the indian Teritory of Yanomami tribe. Travelling abot one day we are closed to our confluenc poin 0°64w. After leaving the padauiri river ba a small channel we entered in the flooded and extremely dense rainforest full of spine trees. The remaining 200m took us almost one hour. Water was partly one and half meter deep with muddy ground full of spines. After taking some photo we took the same way back.

Coordinator's Note: This visit is incomplete as it doesn't meet the photo requirements.
