10-Jan-2008 -- (Updated narrative, after first showing of the TV program about many forms of collecting.)

This morning I was picked up at my home by a TV team.

They wanted to go on a confluence trip with me, so we had arranged to go back to one of the first points to be visited in Norway, the one that happens to be closest to Oslo.

We drove the E6 highway up to Skedsmokorset, turned west and ended up at Wærhaug farm, just like I did in October 2000.

Starting at the farm buildings we skied across the snow-covered fields, got to the point and established a very solid GPS fix with EGNOS differential corrections. Afterwards we took the required photos, packed up and went back home.

Norwegian Public Broadcasting (NRK) has the TV coverage available on the web, at http://www1.nrk.no/nett-tv/indeks/150511.

The filming of this TV spot took a lot longer than you would guess from seeing it, but it was quite fun to see how it all turned out. The producer did manage to make it look like a big expedition, covering a total of 442 meters. :-)
