#1: General view of the confluence area

(visited by Martyn Kiellor, Anthony Shorten, Vince Cusumano, Jan Cusumano, Perry Stedman, Amanda Kiellor and Graham Shaw)

20-Jul-2012 -- Located NNW of Cook a small town on the Australian transcontinental railway, this confluence point was visited as part of a larger tour of the South Australian desert areas following the tracks of the last Australian explorer Len Beadell.

This point lies off one of the tracks constructed by Len in the 1950s as part of the Woomera Rocket range/Atomic bomb tests. As the confluence lies just north of the Nullarbor Plain vegetation is typical of the area being fairly stunted due to poor soils and lack of water, and comprising mulga scrub and low saltbush.
