02-May-2007 -- Coming from Thargomindah and being rested from the challenge of my previous confluence, we all headed to Cameron's corner.
That's the spot where New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia meet. It's also where petrol is as expensive as gold! There is a marker where the exact place where the three states meet and those borders suposedly follow the latitude and longitude but the confluence is actually 20 metres to the east of the post and 100 metres North of it, which makes the confluence lay in New South Wales.
If you're around there for this easy confluence, make sure you get your $5 to stick on the ceiling at Cameron corner, to raise money for the Royal flying doctors. Other points of interests are Sturt National Park and of course the dog fence. More than 5000 kilometres long, more than twice the lenght of the great wall of China
