#1: The confluence in winter

(visited by Terje Mathisen)

04-Jan-2008 -- I have been to this point twice previously, both times during summer.

This time I had spent a day solving a networking problem at a customer site in Charlottenberg, across the border into Sweden, and after finishing that task, I found that I still had time to check out how the point would look during wintertime.

When I got to the gated forest road where both previous visits had started, I saw that the gate was open, and I met a guy in an SUV as he was leaving the area. Since he left the gate open after leaving I took a chance and drove up to the closest approach to the point, then ran through the forest and brush covered with 10-15 cm snow.

When I got to the confluence area I discovered that someone else had been to the point in the 1.5 years since my last visit; they had left a homemade sign with "G-Pungt", probably short for "Gradpunkt", i.e. "Degree Point". It is possible that this was made by Jan Liska for his currently pending submission after a 17-Sep-2007 visit?
